Type the case number.
A few characters of a file number, a document name or a party is enough. Cases, documents and hearings arrive in one list, and records you are not cleared to see never enter it.

Type a few characters of a case number, a party name or a document name into the search box. The matching part is highlighted in the results.
- 2/5
Permitted results arrive
The list brings cases, documents and hearings together, limited to the types your search and read permissions cover. A record you may not see never enters the list.
- 3/5
Pick a type
Too many results? Choose the case, document or hearing filter to narrow the list to one type, or All to see everything together.

Select the result
Select the result you want. Search does not leave you on a results page; it takes you straight to the record itself.

The file opens
The case detail opens, and its documents, hearings and notes are one click away. The same flow works in the mobile app.
Three types are searched, and each result shows its type.
Search covers the three record types that carry a firm's daily work. Each type is searched by its own fields, and a result row tells you what it is and which file it belongs to.

Client cards are not part of this search; you find clients with the search field in the client list.

A result has to pass two permissions.
When a query runs, two things are checked for every type: your search permission and your permission to read that type. Without document read permission you will not see a document result even if you type a document name. You define the permissions on the roles and permissions screen.
2026/42 E. Client A - Example Ltd. receivables case
Click a result and a document takes you to its case, a hearing to the hearing's case, and a case result straight to the case detail. The file itself is managed in case management.
Same query, intern role
Search permissionyes
The query runs.
Case read permissionyes
The case row is in the list.
Document read permissionno
The document row is not in the list.
A query never goes past your access.
- Search permission
The query runs for users who hold the search permission. The permission comes from the role assigned to the user.
- No read permission
A type you may not read stays out of the list and does not change the result count.
- Firm boundary
A query only searches your own firm's records. Another firm's record never appears in your results.
- Web and mobile
Search in the mobile app applies the same rules: a record you cannot see on the web is not visible on the phone either. A result takes you straight to the case screen.
What do people ask about search?
- 01/05
Are client records searched?
Search covers case, document and hearing records. You find client cards with the search field in the client list. Cases linked to a client do appear among the case results.
- 02/05
Do cases I have no access to show up in the results?
No. A query checks your search permission and your permission to read the record together. A type you have no access to never enters the list and does not change the result count.
- 03/05
Is the document content or its title searched?
The document title and record details are searched. The result row also shows the case the document belongs to, so you reach the file you want quickly.
- 04/05
When does a case I just saved show up in search?
New or changed records are taken into search and appear in the queries that follow.
- 05/05
Can I search on the phone too?
Yes. The search screen in the mobile app applies the same rules as the web, and selecting a result opens the related case screen. Mobile coverage is read-focused.
The file you want, from the first letters.
Try search on your own records; you see the results your role allows.
