Every document sits under its case.

A petition, a ruling or an expert report attaches to the file it was uploaded to, gets scanned and versioned. Generate documents from templates and send them to the client by time-limited link.

01/04Version ledger

Every version stays on record.

Each time a document changes it gets a new version number and earlier versions are never deleted. The text sent to the other side never gets mixed up with an internal draft, and a wrong edit is undone by returning to an earlier version.

  1. v3

    Statement of defence, final

    14.09.2026 · 16:20

This is the text that went to the other side. The scan is clean and the document is in the case file.

    CurrentScan: clean

  2. v2

    Corrections from the client's notes

    11.09.2026 · 10:05

The client's notes are worked in. If you return to this version the current mark moves here; v3 is not deleted.

  3. v1

    First draft from a template

    08.09.2026 · 09:30

Generated from a template: firm, client and case fields were filled from the records.

02/04Document row

Scan, version and link share one row.

Every row in the document list carries three things: the scan status, the current version and the sharing status. Uploads pass a type, size (25 MB) and content check, and a file that does not scan clean is not stored. The details are on the document security page.

You generate a document from the template list in one click: firm, client and case fields fill from the records and the document enters the case file as its first version. A share link opens only the document you chose, and you close it whenever you like.

Ready-made categories: petition, ruling, expert report, contract, evidence and power of attorney. You pick the category when you upload, and the document stays searchable under its file in case management.

Scan
A clean document is stored. A file that does not scan clean never gets in.
Version
v3 is current. v1 and v2 stay, and you can return to either.
Link
Opens this document only. No other record of the file is visible.

03/04Archive

The archive follows your retention rule.

Every firm keeps documents differently. You define the rule, expired records are handled automatically and nobody maintains a manual clean-up list.

Retention
A deleted document is not destroyed at once: it is marked as deleted first and leaves the lists. Permanent clean-up follows your rule.
Custom fields
You define fields such as case number, delivery method or internal reference yourself, as text, a choice list or a required field.
Search
Uploaded documents enter global search. When you type a client name or a file number, only documents you have permission for appear.
Access
Preview and download are separate permissions, and the role and permission structure decides who can do what. Firm-level safeguards are described on the security and KVKK page.

04/04Questions

What do firms ask about document management?

  1. Which file types can I upload?

The PDF, Word and image files common in legal work. Every file passes a size (25 MB), extension and content check and a virus scan, and a file that fails is not accepted.

  2. What does a client see through a share link?

Only the document you shared. The client cannot reach the file's other documents, notes or records. You close the link whenever you like, and when a new version appears the same link shows the current document.

  3. Do firm details fill into templates automatically?

Yes. When you generate a document from a template, the firm, client and case fields are filled from the records. You edit the result and save it as a new version.

  4. If I return to an earlier version, are the other versions lost?

No. When you choose an earlier version the current mark moves to it; no version is deleted and the history stays complete. The text sent to the other side and the internal draft stay under separate version numbers.

  5. Does a deleted document come back?

A deleted document is not destroyed at once: it is marked as deleted and leaves the lists. Permanent clean-up follows your retention rule. For a document deleted by mistake you can open a support request.

  6. Can I attach documents in bulk from an Excel list?

You import client and case lists from Excel or CSV with the data migration wizard and upload the document files to the cases afterwards. For document folders in an old system our support team can help with the move.

  7. What happens to documents whose retention period has expired?

Expired records are handled automatically under the retention rule you defined. The document is first marked as deleted and leaves the lists, and permanent clean-up follows your rule.

  8. Who can see and download a document?

Preview and download are separate permissions, and the role and permission structure decides which user can do what. Firms are isolated from each other, and a share link opens only the document you chose. See document security for scanning and e-signature.
