A case opens with its file number.
From the court file number (esas no) to the outcome of a hearing, every record sits in one file. Parties, hearings, notes, legal deadlines and activity open as tabs on the case page.

Summary
One case row carries the summary of the file.
The list answers “where does this case stand?” without opening the file. Every field on the row connects to a feature that works elsewhere in the file.

Summary, list and filters
Records sit in a paginated list that filters by case type and status and is also reachable through search. The status of a file reads without leaving the list.

Your own case types and stages
Your firm defines its case types and statuses: commercial receivable, employment claim, enforcement proceeding or any naming you prefer. Mark a status as “closed” and a case moved into it counts as closed, with the closing date recorded. Every new status is a new column in kanban case tracking. Managing the catalogue needs its own permission.
Custom fields
Add text or selection fields to case, client and document records; a field can be required, carry a default value and be placed in a set order. An insurer’s claim number or an internal reference code becomes part of the file.

Parties and roles

Parties A case takes several parties, and each party gets a role. A party in the client role is linked to the client record, so the cases tab on the client profile and the case file point to the same person. Adding, editing and removing parties happens in a side panel; you never leave the file.
PlaintiffDefendantClientWitnessExpertPower of attorney links
Per client you keep power of attorney and representation records as links, while the document itself is stored in document management.
- 03/06
Hearings and result notes
You enter a hearing inside the file with its date, time, place and description. After the hearing you write what happened into the result note of the same record, so the information for the next hearing stays in one place. A saved hearing shows up in the agenda and on the dashboard, is added to the search index and publishes an event that drives notifications and any webhooks you configured (channels are described on notifications). For service of process and UYAP, the guides what UYAP is and e-notification tracking complement this page.

Notes and alarms
A case note has a title, a description and an optional alarm date. You keep an assessment for the team or a reminder for yourself in the same place. Flag the note as an alarm and give it a date, and small but critical jobs such as “check this document before answering” do not get lost inside the file. Work that needs an owner and follow-up belongs in the separate task module.

Legal deadlines
Appeal, cassation, objection, response and evidence deadlines live in the deadlines tab. You enter the start date, the number of days and the “exclude holidays” option, and the due date is calculated by skipping weekends and Turkish public holidays. The rule and worked examples are on legal deadline tracking; you can try the calculation in the free legal deadline calculator.

Activity log and average case duration
Every case carries its own chronological record: who performed the action, what type of action it was, what changed and when. Team members with read permission can follow status changes, hearing entries and party updates, so “what was last done on this file?” never turns into phone traffic.
The case indicator gives the average case duration. To read it next to financial and workload indicators, see reporting and dashboard.

What do lawyers ask about case tracking?
- 01/05
How many parties and which roles can a case have?
A case takes several parties and each one gets a role: plaintiff, defendant, client, witness or expert. The client role is linked to the client record, the other roles stay specific to the file. Parties are added, edited and removed from a side panel in the parties tab of the case.
- 02/05
Can we define case statuses to match our firm?
Yes. Case types and statuses belong to your firm; an authorised person adds a status, renames it and marks a status as “closed”. A case moved into a closed status receives its closing date, and new statuses appear as columns on the kanban board.
- 03/05
Which tabs does the case detail have?
Summary, parties, hearings, notes, deadlines and activity. The summary tab shows the file information and the others show the records attached to the file. Seeing and changing tabs depends on your role’s permissions; the permission model is explained on roles and permissions.
- 04/05
What does the activity log record?
The user who acted, the type of action, the detail of the change and the time. The log is read chronologically on each case page and is visible to users with read permission.
- 05/05
Can we add custom fields to a case?
Yes. You define text or selection fields for case, client and document records. A field can be required, carry a default value and be placed in a set order. Managing custom fields needs its own permission.
- Kanban case tracking · the same cases in stage columns; moving a card updates the status and the closing date.
- Calendar and agenda · hearings, deadlines and appointments in one agenda.
- Document management · pleadings, decisions and contracts stay under the case, previewable and searchable.
